La verdad que es un lugar magnifico para comer en un entorno encantador. La calidad del producto es muy buena así como el ambiente del local. En cuanto al servicio, de lo mejor que he tenido hasta la fecha allá donde fui. En nuestro caso, nos atendió un chico, que no recuerdo su nombre, pero su servicio fue excepcional. Si estáis por Sintra, no lo dudéis y acercaros a comer a este restaurante. ~ Pablo

Todo muy bueno. El local es pequeñito y acogedor, perfecto para lo que quiere ofrecer. Los camareros muy atentos, como sitio turístico que es, intentan sugerir en la medida de sus posibilidades. Buena carta de vinos de diferentes zonas de Portugal. Calidad/precio muy buena. Yo iría a comer o cenar otra vez!! Y por último, debéis probar los postres!!! ~ ARB

Vinimos a cenar,después de un primer intento en el que estaba todo lleno.Nos ha encantado.Local en el que hablan inglés y castellano.Ambiente muy agradable y servicio bueno y rápido.Destacar también que era de los pocos lugares abiertos más tarde de las 8-8.30. Buen restaurante en el centro de Sintra. Más bonito por dentro q por fuera, por fuera no parece lo que es. Platos elaborados a buena relación calidad precio, aunque no es lo más barato de la zona merece la pena probar. Atención muy buena. Gran variedad de platos y tapas a elegir. Ristorante trovato per caso, su consiglio di un altro ristoratore e l'esperienza è stata sicuramente una delle migliori nel nostro viaggio on the road in Portogallo. Ordinati la zuppa vegetariana, l'anatra con patate dolci e filetto di maiale con salsa di madeira: tutto gustosissimo e preparato ad hoc. Personale gentilissimo e sorridente. A romaria do baco é um local que me encanta. Porquê? Nem tem nada de tão extraordinario! Madeirinha na decoração, moderno, jazz de fundo, pessoal simpatico, jovem e competente. Pessoalmente, aqui, vou sempre pelas tapas. Vinhos, aconselho o Morgado de Sta Catarina, um branco com estagio em Carvalho. O resto, é uma qualquer magia que nao sei explicar nem deecrever... ~ Luis F

We spent a day in Sintra and our local driver named Bruno, recommended this place. The food was AMAZING. We’ve been in Portugal a few days and so far I think this place will not get topped. I had pork belly with mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies. The mashed potatoes had such magical flavor, it reminded me of home, somehow they managed to make them as tasty as a mofongo, which is a latin plantain smash with garlic and pork rinds. The pork belly was well seasoned and the veggies were tasteful and tender. My husband had fried red meat smothered in a porto red wine sauce alongside almond rice. He couldn’t stop eating while raving about his delicious food. Wishing I would have ordered seafood, as Im assuming it would have been amazingly tasteful. ~ Wilmarie C

Repas délicieux, serveuses et chef adorables, ambiance et musique calmes, prix corrects : tout était PARFAIT. Une excellente adresse à Sintra, très différente de tous ces attrapes-touristes. Heerlijke gerechten in een sfeervol piepklein restaurantje. Echt Portugees eten en goede keus wijnen. Zeer gastvrij en betaalbaar. Als we ooit terugkomen in Sintra gaan we hier weer heen! Reserveren is een aanrader gezien de kleine hoeveelheid tafels en veel mensen komen op de bonnefooi binnen en moeten dan helaas weer omkeren dus reserveren is een aanrader! ~ Erik V

We had a lovely dinner here. I really appreciate the specialties and the personal touch of the owner. We came at 8pm and unfortunately the restaurant was fully (which is actually a good sign 😉). The owner talked to us in a very friendly way and offered us a table at 9pm. Additionally, she recommended another place for drinks. We went for a good “apero” and returned afterwards. We ordered dinner and we didn’t regret waiting for an hour. The food was very delicious and she even recommended me two wines to choose of. It perfectly matches with the black pork (cooked for several hours) and mashed potatoes. During the dinner, my wife even told me that we should return to Portugal 🇵🇹 anytime soon again. What a positive sign, right? Go there and enjoy 🎉! ~ Benjamin S

Dieses nette kleine Restaurant bei einem ungeplanten Besuch im Ortskern von Sintra gefunden und auch ohne Voranmeldung nach 10min Wartezeit einen Tisch bekommen. Gutes Essen, auch vegetarisch, gemütlich und netter Service. Nur etwas zugig war es an dem regnerischen Tag - es war nur die Behelfstür geschlossen. Bei schönem Wetter ist das sicher angenehm. ~ Jörg G

Petit resto cosy et typique avec un personnel très sympa et au top. Plats copieux et excellents ainsi que les vins. 1 gaspacho andalous avec ses petits morceaux de jambon cru, fromage et croûtons Calamars grillés et ses petits légumes avec 1 verre de vin blanc fruité Joue de porc et sa purée maison avec 1 verre de vin rouge Morue avec son pain au maïs, ses patates douces et ses épinards. ~ catherine p

Excelente eleccion para comer en Sintra. Si no lo tienes claro a la hora de elegir, dejate aconsejar por su personal, muy amable y profesional (Maragarita y Pedor fueron encantadores). Deliciosa comida (bacalao, espectacular) y excelente vinos de la tierra. Precio, ajustadisimo para la calidad de la comida. Absolutamente recomandable imprescindible. ~ Jose M

This place is adorable!!! Probably only fits around 20-ish guests. The food was amazing and the staff was very nice (fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French). We ordered the grilled cheese (which is literally just a pile of fried cheese, no bread or sandwich like the American grilled cheese) but was SO delicious, the mixed cheese and smoked ham plate (also amazing - everything local), pork belly (visually not appetizing, because it literally just a bowl of the most delicious, fatty meat), green peppers and fried baby squid (super fresh). We ordered a bottle of their recommended red wine and ended up getting another bottle and took it to go. Highly recommend this place if you are staying in town! ~ Ashley F

Me senti em casa de amigos. Comemos a sugestão do dia. Bacalhau. Leandro nos atendeu como se estivéssemos em sua casa. Volto a publicar que estou muito satisfeito deste lugar,as razoes da satisfacao sao varias e enquadradas naquilo que pretendia ,a saber ; Lugar pequenino mas aconchegante,boas iguarias,bom atendimento,decoracao de acordo com o que se pretende e embora sem luxo muito bonito,na minha opiniao,depois com a maravilhosa Sintra que enquadra tao bem o restaurante,deixando saudade de voltar. El mejor sitio donde comer en Sintra y de los pocos que abre hasta las 11 de la noche. Engaña el cartel desde fuera, de verdad, parece un sitio cutre desde fuera, pero entras y es un restaurante genial. Comida espectacular de sabor y bien presentada. Atención y servicio maravilloso. Y además a buen precio. Volveremos sin duda. ~ Saar

Comida muito boa, pedimos as lulinhas, os secretos e tábua de enchidos e estava tudo muito saboroso. O pão e entradas também eram muito boas. De sobremesa pedimos o bolo dos namorados e massa folhada com maçã e gelado e não desiludiram. Estava tudo mesmo muito bom e o staff é muito simpático! Bom ambiente e comida maravilhosa!!! ~ Ac A

Bon resto traditionnelle, conviviale, carte efficace et Cadre mignon. Nous super bien mangé. Notre réservation n'avais pas été noté mais ils nois quand même accepté en s'excusant du retard que ca pourrais engendré et que finalement il n'y a pas eu. Bonito y buen sitio para comer en Sintra. Como no está en la calle principal y tienen una entrada pequeña, no está masificado de turistas como el resto de sitios. El sitio es pequeño y no tiene muchas mesas. La comida es muy buena. Buena calidad y muy rica. Recomiendo el bacalao a bras que estaba riquísimo. Los camareros muy atentos y amables. Desde luego un sitio muy recomendable. ~ Diego m

During my visit to Sintra, Portugal, I had the opportunity to eat at Romaria de Baco, and it was an experience that exceeded my expectations. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with a charming mix of the rustic and the modern that reflects the historic spirit of the city. The service was excellent: the staff was friendly, attentive and willing to explain each dish in detail. I tried some typical Portuguese dishes and I was delighted with the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. The wine, as it could not be missing in a place with that name, was another great success: they have a very well-kept local selection. If you visit Sintra and want to enjoy good food, an intimate atmosphere and first-class service, Romaria de Baco is a mandatory stop. Without a doubt, I would come back. ~ Carolay H

Esperienza eccellente. Posticino piccolo ma che da grandi soddisfazioni. In particolare l'octopus arrostito era squisito, cotto benissimo e accompagnato da patate e verdure davvero buone. Anche l'antipasto di gamberi e polpo fritto con aglio era buonissimo! (Ci siamo tenuti la salsetta rimanente per inzuppare il resto dei piatti 😋). Anche i calici di bianco e vino verde non ci hanno delusi. ~ isa s

We had a fantastic experience at Romario De Baco. The waitress was brilliant and picked us a wine we both loved when the one we ordered turned out to be out of stock. We really appreciated her offering to find us something similar and letting us try some to have with our meal. The meal itself was brilliant, excellent tapas which was served to us when each dish was ready, which helped us pace ourselves! We enjoyed beautiful fried seafood, Portuguese sausage in pastry, lovely pork belly and this delicious steak with pickles and garlic- order this steak tapas if you go it was incredible! One of the best dining experiences of our holiday and we’d love to come back. Thanks to all the staff for their patience and willingness to speak English too! Make sure you reserve a table a few days before as it was busy! I did this easily online. ~ Eva R
